There is a shortage of high school officials accross the country, and Southwest Louisiana is no exception. A group of local high school umpires are offering an opportunity to learn the craft of umpiring.
Our association will train you on all aspects of umpiring:
Proper Positioning, Proper Mechanics (where, when and how to call a play), Understanding the Strike Zone and Working the Plate, as well as, working as the third team on the field and dealing with players, coaches, and fans.
